We’ve received feedback from Creators like you about disliking the “Generated with AI” banner at the bottom of brainstormed thumbnails.

As a result, we are removing the “Generated with AI” banner from thumbnails. Here's an example of the new mock without the banner:

Now you can see composition names for better clarity, explore 4 new composition types, and experience more reliable, distinct outputs. See what your package looks like before you publish

Seeing what your package looks like on different devices is critical for video success. That’s why we’ve added package preview, the ability to preview your package before you publish. You can see your package on three device types all in the context of what your audience also watches:

From the desktop preview, you can switch between, Home, Suggested and Search traffic sources, as well as toggle between light and dark mode for another view. We tried to make this preview as similar as possible to what you see on YouTube (titles are truncated at (70 characters), using the same font, etc…) so you can make the best packaging decision before you press publish.

Moving from Concepts to Hooks

To better support how Creators ideate, we’re changing the concept of the video to a hook. We were seeing concepts not quite resonating the way titles and thumbnails do for your projects. The team is reformatting the concepts to make them more concise and hook-like compared to a broad, overarching video concept.

Similar to how you can Explode titles to see new title ideas, now you can Explode thumbnails. This provides you a fast, easy way to see different thumbnail variations that you may not have thought of for your video. These can be great candidates for the primary thumbnail or source inspiration for your AB YouTube thumbnail testing.

To make the Brainstorm navigation more intuitive, we’re testing the Brainstorm navigation in three new places: on the right side of the page, next to generate more, and the current position in a tool bar below the page. Fill your upload schedule with any unscheduled projects

You have a bunch of video projects but aren’t sure exactly where they should fall on your upload schedule. Now, you can schedule unscheduled projects directly by dragging and dropping them from your calendar. Simply view your list of unscheduled projects and drag them to the date you’d like to publish.

The popular Title Exploder Labs experiment has officially graduated to Spotter Studio. Power Keywords was the final key feature to migrate from Labs to Studio. Creators like you have frequently requested more data-driven ways to decide which title to use in their packaging. Power Keywords help you take the guesswork out of title creation. Highlighted keywords are shown only if they consistently overperformed within YouTube titles over the past 16 months. When you Brainstorm titles in Spotter Studio you’ll see highlighted Power Keywords to help you make smarter decisions, boost engagement, and give your videos the best chance to succeed. Power Keywords will first appear in Brainstorm, but could expand more into Studio where useful to creators.

Create projects directly from your Calendar.

Hitting your upload schedule is critical. Your audience eagerly anticipates your next upload. Now with Calendars “+”, you can create a project directly on the calendar to hit your future upload dates. The New Project + button will appear when hovering over a specific date. When you click the button, a new project is created and the publish date is set to the day selected. For example, clicking “+” on Nov 12, 2025, will set the publish date of the newly created project to 11/12/25. You will then be placed in a new project to start developing your next upload.

To make navigating a project easier, we’re adding navigation to each project. If you start brainstorming a project from the dashboard, a navigation path at the top left corner of your Spotter Studio might look like: “Projects > Project Name > Brainstorm.” This update should make it easier for you to see exactly where you are within your video project.

To make the Brainstorm box on Home clearer, we’re testing different text. Instead of a randomly generated video idea, we’re testing “Type your idea” to clarify what creators are meant to do with the Brainstorm box.

Expect to see slightly different variations of the Edit Card. We will continue to A/B test different versions by adding a pencil icon to encourage creators to edit titles or concepts in Brainstorm.

Smoother navigation after exiting a Brainstorming session

Previously, moving from a brainstorming session to research or project planning required navigating back to the project page, adding friction. Now, after exiting a brainstorming session, you will land directly on your intended destination, streamlining navigation in Spotter Studio.

Guidance on max character length reminder for your titles and concepts.

To help guide title and concept length, we’ve added a max character limit for each field. Titles are limited to 100 characters, and concepts to 750 characters.

We’ve made several improvements to Projects this week. New Projects now defaults to Team instead of Private, allowing all Studio members to view projects in progress. Projects are now sorted by published date in ascending order, making it easier to view your projects at a glance. There is also a filter to toggle between In Progress and Published Projects, making it easier to focus on developing existing video projects or refining published videos.
