Idea Canvas Overview

As part of Spotter Studio, we’ve created Idea Canvas, a freeform whitespace designed to make it easier for you to brainstorm 100s of new ideas. Idea Canvas allows for flexible, intuitive brainstorming, leveraging Spotter AI while enabling a visually driven ideation practice.

Idea Canvas helps creators:

  • Ideate freely without limitations: An infinite canvas designed for rapid ideation. Purposely built for how Creators brainstorm.

  • Brainstorm 100s of ideas: Start from scratch or use Brainstorm to see hundreds of title, thumbnails and hook ideas in minutes.

  • Bank ideas to refine, organize, prioritize: Users can explode, and bank ideas for later use.


How to use Idea Canvas

Within Idea Canvas, you can:

  • Pick a starting point with inspiration blocks:

    • Capture an idea - quickly jot down an idea you can either add directly to your Idea Bank or Brainstorm further

    • Start with videos my audience also watches - use videos your audience also watch as a starting point

    • Use recent Outliers as inspiration - this surfaces your recent outliers for you to bein brainstorming

    • Generate video ideas based on my channel - suggest videos that are personalized to your channel

    • Start from my channel themes - these are specific themes personalized to your channel

  • Add sticky notes - use sticky notes to capture ideas

  • Explore an infinite workspace to brainstorm, generate, and capture ideas for video concepts.

  • Drag and drop Inspiration Blocks to spark new ideas from YouTube search, topics, and high performing titles.

  • Use the Hover Menu to quickly modify, explode, or combine ideas for iterative brainstorming.

  • Seamlessly bank ideas to the Idea Bank without disrupting the creative flow.

  • Pan, zoom, copy, paste, and duplicate text blocks for a fluid brainstorming experience.

    • Pinch/Pan/Zoom: Navigate across the canvas effortlessly.

    • Undo Functionality: Allows iterative editing.

    • Clear Canvas: cleans work and gives you a fresh canvas

    • Auto Layout: captures all the work in your canvas in one space
