Brainstorm Overview

As part of Spotter Studio, we’ve created ✨Brainstorm, a personalized brainstorming partner that workshops and refines fresh new ideas that remain true to your creative voice.

Brainstorm helps creators to:

  • Overcome “Creator’s Block”- Effortlessly develop complete, personalized video packages with an intuitive brainstorming partner powered by customizable inspiration inputs.

  • Have more flexible, data-driven, and personalized brainstorms - Experience personalized brainstorming sessions with tailored inspiration inputs and suggestions that align with your channel’s style.

  • Experience a seamless, integrated ideation process - Brainstorm integrates seamlessly into Spotter Studio’s project management tools, making it easy to transition from ideation to execution, ensuring no great idea gets lost.


How to use Brainstorm

Brainstorm can be reached almost anywhere in Spotter Studio: just look for the ✨ emoji to begin brainstorming. Clicking the "✨ Brainstorm" button automatically generates a new project and allows you to start brainstorming titles, thumbnails and/or concepts. If you click it within your own projects, you will see AI-generated recommendations appear next to the element you selected.

Brainstorm can help you seamlessly workshop new ideas or refine existing ideas all while staying true to your creative voice.

Workshop new ideas:

  • Brainstorm with ease - ideate video content elements including titles, thumbnails, and concepts without immediately.

  • Add Inspiration with ease - dedicated space for you to share more about your idea and guide the data-driven brainstorming sessions to your ideal outcome. Type into the Topic box, add YouTube URLs, and/or use sliding scale to lean towards video styles you’ve made in the past or Overperformers your audience also watches. You can access items from your Saved Items and add an audience you’re trying to reach.

    • Topic box - Input specific topics or initial thoughts to guide the ideation process.

    • YouTube URLs - Paste specific YouTube video links for targeted inspiration.

    • Overperformers - Select a mix of your overperforming videos and related overperformers for inspiration.

    • Describe your audience - let brainstorm know the audience you’re trying to reach.

    • Other goals or requirements - add additional context, for example “this video contains a brand deal”.

  • Build Projects with ease - As you workshop your new idea, Brainstorm automatically creates a new Project for you so you don’t ever lose a brilliant idea.

Refine existing ideas:

  • Refine packaging - after you begin a video project, you can refine titles or thumbnails infinitely until you come up with a result you love.

  • Title refinement - Improve on an existing title to enhance its effectiveness.

  • Thumbnail refinement - Refine an existing thumbnail image.

  • Refinement tools:

    • Rephrase, Shorten, Explode- Tools for generating variations of titles based on different criteria.

    • Variations - get more thumbnail in this style

    • Mood shift - Generate different alternative based on different emotions

    • This, but - Redirect the concept in a specific way, for example “make it in space” or “cats instead of dogs”.

  • Save to Saved items - Save generated items for future use. You can also use the Flyout Panel to access Saved Items and other tools without leaving the current workspace.

Additional actions while brainstorming:

  • Edit/Typeover - Modify the text on generated titles and concepts.

  • Delete - Remove items from the Saved Items or projects.

  • Copy - Copy the content of generated items for use elsewhere.

  • Download - Download thumbnail images.

  • Upload - Upload your own thumbnail image options

  • Add New - add new title, thumbnail or concept ideas

  • Keep - adds element to your Options

  • Expand/view full screen - View thumbnail images in full screen.

  • Histogram navigation - Use the histogram to track ideation progress and return to earlier points easily.


Brainstorm Best Practices

  • Leverage diverse inspiration sources

    • Use Overperformers - Start your brainstorming session with inspiration sets from your top-performing videos and related overperformers to generate ideas that are more likely to resonate with your audience.

    • Include specific URLs - Input specific YouTube URLs for targeted inspiration, especially if you have a clear vision or benchmark for your content.

  • Customize inputs for personalization

    • Tailor Audience Information - Enter detailed information about your target audience to guide Engine to generate relevant and personalized video concepts.

    • Provide Additional Instructions - Add specific goals or constraints (e.g. sponsorship requirements or experimental content types) to contextualize the brainstorming session.

  • Iterate and refine continuously

    • Explore multiple options - Don’t settle for the first idea; use Brainstorm to explore various versions of titles, thumbnails, and concepts until you find a winner.

  • Build Video Projects with Brainstorm:

    • Create Video Projects seamlessly: Transition brainstormed ideas into new or existing video projects within Spotter Studio without losing any progress. This ensures a smooth flow from ideation to production.

    • Collaborate effectively: Equip team members to contribute to brainstorming sessions and project development, leveraging diverse insights to enhance the overall quality of your content.

That being said, Brainstorm, and Spotter Studio as a whole is optimized for English-only content, and will really only work well when generating AI results for and with channels in the English language.
